Was fooling around trying to come up with a temporary front cradle bushing and came across a couple of old Astro van tranny mounts. Took the mounts apart for the sleeves and figured if welded to the cradle they would work for a solid front mount. See attached photo's to see what you think. Dan

All Martin White did to solid mount was to weld a big washer to the ends.  Worked fine.

That mount would be a lot better as it has an integral tube for the bolt to run in.  Just remember to put a long rod thru the two sides so that the cradle is lined up when they get welded to it.

Those are my thoughts pretty much exactly.  Smiley

I'm using a set of Darrel Morse's aluminuminum bushings for the swap in to my car, but I'll have to remember this trick for any future work.

The 88's are solid mounted and I don't hear lots of complaints.  Time to make up a small jig on your spare cradle and start making a few sets.  Afro
