The wife update

For those following the wheeling and dealing with my wife over the new engine....

...I have brownie points building up BIG TIME!  My wife and her mom are going to Scotland for 2 weeks this Thursday (her grandmother is gravely ill).  Being an understanding husband and staying behind to play single dad to 3 dogs should go a little ways.  Heck...maybe even worth a paint job in the spring?!

Wife called me at work today:  Her mom is going to come back for a month and then move to Scotland for good.

Looks like I have a basement apartment that'll need renting out.

If you can tolerate students, that should be easy for 8 months of the year given where you live.

We've had students in the past (we actually rented out 2 bedrooms in our house in addition to my wife's mom in the basement).  Fortunately, we had "mature" students:  Foreign students and ones doing their B. Ed. 

Ideally, we'd like someone 12 months of the year.  Then again, we may think about moving to a smaller place (ideally with a garage this time).
