Need an ECM for an automatic car, mine's an '85 but I've used at least an '86 before in previous cars and they worked fine.  I started troubleshooting my Fiero today, trying to figure out why the tranny wasn't locking up... I guess the first place to start is to get rid of the 4-speed ECM that's in there now!

I'm gonna be in Ottawa this weekend, until Tuesday or Wednesday if anyone has a spare!  Thanks...

I have a spare for an 88, 6 cyl.  Not sure if it's the same though.

Just a bit of info that may help you in your search:

-all '86 -> '88 v6 ECMs (1227170) are the same,  the only difference between the 4spd, 5spd, and auto, is the PROM
-although the '85 v6 ECM (1226869) is different from the '86+ ECMs, the same holds true for the PROM
-you can swap PROMs between the '86 -> '88 v6 ECMs, but not between the '85 and '86+ v6 ECMs

I have a spare '86+ ECM, but no PROM for it.  Let me know if you're interested...

I'm not sure the '88 would work either?  That's the site I was using for identification...
