While we are sitting and admiring the lovely ice and snow, let's do something constructive.  We live far enough apart that not everyone drives on the same roads.  How about each of us make up a small 'tour' that we can do in our Fiero.

This should be about up to an hour or hour and a half cruise to take in some nice roads and scenery.  We can either pick some to do as a club outing, or a go-it-alone trip with a map.

For a club trip we should be able to drive as a group and have a spot (restaurant or chip wagon) for a break and hopefully a nice place for some photos. Photo spot could be anything from a scenic lookout to a modern industrial park, as long as the background is interesting.

If you are interested, please email me with the route.  Include any items of interest as well as things like road conditions, etc (some of us don't do the rally thing).  I'll do up a page for each including directions, a map and any commentary that you share.  Good ideas are Gatineau hills, out past Orleans, around Perth, Smith's Falls, Kemptville (  Grin ) or even around Ottawa proper.  If you have a fav cruise route for summer nights where lots of interesting things happen, go for it.

ps. The 417 cruise from Place D'Orleans to Bayshore is not a cruise.  Cool

That sounds like a couple good tours to me. I have a few decent ones, I'm going to try to get a meeting in Feb and we can throw around some ideas and hopefully come up with a couple more.
