Baggage Handlers

Is there some sort of game baggage handlers at airports play to see who can bang up someones luggage the most?! 

I had a couple of cans of baked beans in my suitcase that now look like dented can specials.  And these were in with my clothes!  Somehow, the flash for my camera seems to be in one piece (can't say the same for the bottle of shampoo that cracked open and spilled all over my luggage).

Grrrrrrrr.

Soft-sided luggage I'm guessing?

...and just how good are those beans, if you're going to the trouble of importing them?

Soft-sided, yes.  The saving grace is that we didn't have to take British Airways through Heathrow...last month, over 60,000 pieces of luggage were "lost" and there are still thousands upon thousands of pieces still not returned to their rightful owners.

Next time we fly, I think we'll get hard covered luggage...at least for items that can be damaged.

The beans?  Well...they taste a bit different from here in Canada.  Lesley's mom really likes them...and to be honest, I'm too cheap to stand the thought of leaving stuff behind.  We were in a cottage and cooked most of our meals over there.  At the end, we had some stuff left over.  Needless to say, I did quite a bit of eating to get through the non-perishable items.  lol  The beans, tea (Scottish Blend tea is stronger than the stuff you get here), and some Heinz canned chocolate pudding cake came back with us.

One thing that I hated over there was the Coke.  Yuck!  It tasted horrible. 

And I must say, the fish'n'chips at the local chippie rocked!  And yes, I tried the haggis and loved it (had it twice, once in a haggis supper (deep fried) and once on a sandwhich with beet root chutney).
