Probably not!  I'm obviously slightly bent.  Every time I go shopping I look at things and try to figure out how to use them on the car.  Fairly common maybe for car guys, but as everyone is aware my car is in so many pieces it'll probably never go back together again the way GM intended.  Even the UAW would frown on my time frame at any hourly rate.

My latest buys are fairly varied.  Some Christmas decorations, 3 garbage cans, pieces of abs plastic, truck clearance lights, 'glass mat and resin, carbon fiber look sticky paper  Embarrassed  , and God knows what else is lurking on the shelves that I have neglected.

I'll post pics later with some explanations.

Let's hear what insanity grips some other people.   Azn

Example.  Big after Christmas sale. Wife sees hangers that go on the door to hang a wreath on.  Gary sees chrome strapping to cut and bend to make chrome brackets.

Example 2.  Crappy Tire sale last week.  Wife says one of those step on gabage cans would be good for the bathroom. Dog likes to eat Q tips and the trip out is interesting.

Gary says okay................buys 4  Grin  There is a plastic bucket inside and a plastic disc as a bottom.  Remove these and the top.  Then cut up the side and fold it out.  Presto a sheet of nice stainless steel to use as a shiny heat shield.

Anodized wire mesh "office" garbage can = screening for body vents.
Old propane tank + plumbing fittings = ballast for small airbrush compressor.
Air tool filter = PCV gunk catcher.

My name is Don, and I'm a victim.

Ok.  I have to tell you guys this - especially you Gary after poking fun at you - about something that I said the other day.

My wife was cleaning out one of the spare bedrooms when she found a box of assorted plumbing materials.  She said that she was going to give it to Habitat for Humanity.  I said "WAIT!  There might be something shiny in there for the interior of my Fiero!/b]"

 Embarrassed

Needless to say, I've socked that box away in a closet with some other Fiero parts.

Cheers, Derek
