Is there an Easier way :(

Well, I started to sand down the fiero for new paint, and well, its taking for ever. I know with Steal based body panels on cars you can use paint stripper and that does most of the work for you, but I am wondering if there is an easier way for Fibre Glass? Anyone have any tips besides me using a 'Mouse' and several, and I mean several hours of sanding :|
Let me know
Thanks.

Nope, chemicals will get into the plastic and cause problems.
Like I said before, if the paint is properly bonded (not flaking off) there is no advantage to sanding all the paint off.

I would wet sand using a block you might find it goes faster and easier. All you want to do is give the new paint some tooth and smooth out the previous surface. The only time you would want to go all the way through the paint is if you have cracks or some such imperfection in the paint.

Like the guys said... no chemical options, at least none that I've come across as of yet.
Prep work like sanding is what takes the longest. Putting the paint on is the quick part in comparison.
What gritt are you using to sand with?
Wet sanding does tend to be a little faster, plus you don't have to worry about wearing a mask since there's no dust to breath anyway.
Sometimes you do have to sand all the way down, if the paint underneath is questionable, but you shouldn't have to sand everything off if the paint underneath is in good shape. As long as the new paint has something to grab into you shouldn't have a problem.
Are you painting it? or are you prepping it before you take it to a shop?

Wet sanding is next, currently I have just been getting the paint down since there is a few layers, one which is bright Purple/Pink :| Not that it matters, since I have to primer it.
But yes, I am going to sand/maybe primer it, then send it out for painting. I don't want to do that part.
