Cars running rich and backfiring a tad....easy fix or?

Easy or not depends upon the cause, of which there are potentially many.

Checking for poor ignition, including spark timing is a good place to start.

Thanks im thinking on changin the ignition and plugs...the car sat for 6 months before i bought it and has 230 kms so its probably due
