Hi All

Another little question before I come over from England next month...

I'm looking for any scrap yards around the Ottawa-Gatineau area that have Fieros in them - I'm looking for one small part that I can't seem to get anywhere else.

I'm after the little plastic bit that sits over the metal tab part way down the side of the windshield pillar and which keeps the top of the side window glass from pulling away from the seal. Nobody sells these things, probably because they don't often go missing...

It's been annoying me for a while, particularly because it's the driver's side one, so any time I go over 80 mph, I start getting a load of wind noise - ARGH!

There are other bits and pieces I will eventually want to get, but this one little piece will really improve my quality of life!  Grin

Unfortunately Fieros in scrap yards are getting hard to find and are usually stripped by evil Fiero owners that horde parts in sheds and their basements preventing others from getting what they need.
Ah ah with that said you are welcome to drop by my place when in the Country to see if I have any parts you need. Dan

When I was last there in August, there were five 84s in various conditions in a yard called Stephen's Auto Wreckers, which is about 40 minutes west of downtown Ottawa.  Click here for a map.

The guy who owns the place likes to think that he's sitting on a gold mine.  If you're not prepared to go on a snow-trek out in to the yard and retrieve the part yourself, he'll probably want something ridiculous to do it for you.  Self-retrieved parts are only slightly lower than ridiculous.  Wink

Thanks for the info - in the end, I didn't really have the time to go galivanting around scrap yards for small bits and pieces.

Fortunately, someone in the UK is breaking (parting out) an '88 2.5, so
I might be able to get some of the stuff I am after.

Ciao!
