Drill press

Does anyone own or have access to a drill press which I might arrange to use for a few minutes, or mind doing 5-10 minutes of work for me if access is a problem?

I need to drill through the mounting boss of a brake caliper so that I can re-thread it, and I don't wanna trust that either the steadiness of my hands or "eyeballing it" can keep the drill bit parallel to the piston while working.

It seems that the last person to remove & reinstall the rear caliper on one of our motorcycles managed to tear the threads out of the caliper.

I have a milling machine.  Arguably much better.  About half my evenings are negotiatable, since I'm at the shop alot lately.

Are you going to oversize the next bolt or make new threads using some compound?  At this point I'm assuming new thread.  Don't buy any tools.  I have them.

New threads via inserts.  Going over-size isn't practical, and probably impossible in this case as the damaged mounting boss is for one of the caliper guide pins.

Don't buy any tools.  I have them.

Too late, I already have a heli-coil kit in the appropriate size (M10x1.25).    Pricey kit, but nowhere near as pricey as a replacement caliper.
