Does anyone have any good or bad experiences with air shocks?

The Beetle's rear shocks are due for replacement, and I'm tempted to try to source some air shocks for it.  It would be nice to be able to level out or at least firm up the rear of the car a bit when towing.

just keep in mind that air does not replace shocks, the replace only the springs.

I have good and bad  stories but I can't get into them here because they are just too long.

Your only limitations are set from within, by a lack of vision.  But to have vision alone leaves the process idle.  Ergo, without action your thoughts are worthless.
