Got vacuum. Want boost.

Q.  How to you smoke the clutch in a Beetle?

A.  Use it to push a Fiero up hill.   Grin

But...  Our winter project is now comfortably resting in the garage and I have the "itch".  We're gonna see if we can breathe some life back in to a 86 Notchie this winter.  Thoughts of the moment are for simply a clean, mostly stock restoration.

Haven't driven or significantly got my hands dirty in a Fiero for about a year now.  This is strangely exciting.

Is anyone else starting to think about winter projects?

the list:

- Have the bumpers repainted (under warranty)
- Replace H4 flasher bulbs with orange LEDs
- Rebuild front "airbox" under the fascia ("tar paper" deflectors and air-dam)
- Rebuild hood front hinges
- install schroud equiped radiator fan
- Install front Corvette brake kit
- Change driver side power door lock switch
- Install door pillar valve under the head lights
- Change Gauges in center console
- Install  "twitters" speakers
- Réinstall  driver side seat cover
- Install rear deck lid strut kit
- Re tap driver side deck lid nuts

... and continue to work on the V8  Tongue

Ours doesn't either.  Smiley  Those air sponge thingys have worked well.  I found a couple of nests though.  One on top of the ECM, and another behind one of the tail lights so far.  Fortunately none of the wires so far appear to have been munched on!

If the cradle bolts are as moderately well-behaved as everything else has been so far, the engine bay may be empty & ready for clean-up after another weekend or two.   Afro

The trusty SE/GT got tied of waiting for me to get in gear and went off to the wrecker's  today.   Embarrassed

Dan came and took the tranny home,  sorted out two no start cars and left some stuff.

BTW, manhandling a 3800 into a fiero thru the side door is not hernia friendly.  Evil
