Got vacuum. Want boost.

Do compressor a/c clutch kits exist any more, or am I showing my age?

For want of a rusted-away 4" disc with sprung hub, both OEM and my usual aftermarket sources are telling me my only choice is dropping over $500 on a complete compressor.  ...which of course is pointless without also paying a shop to evacuate & replace the refrigerant.

Meanwhile all I need is the "slapper" plate which connects to the compressor's spindle.    Roll Eyes

2001 VW Beetle 1.9L TDI.

Meyers VW says ~$590 for the clutch kit, ~$610 for the compressor.  NAPA can get me a new or remanufactured compressor only.
