So as many of you are aware, My fiero has been on hold waiting for a new crank while I waited for a better job to come along.
It was painstaking waiting for my dreams to come true, but it looks like they finally have started to happen.
I got an offer from the Forces for a commission as an Armoured Officer within the combat arms division. So Iv'e been on a bit of a cloud knowing that I can happily quit my "student job" and pursue a career finally. Im really, happy for two reasons. The first reason is because I always wanted to be in the army and do a bit of service. Being 25 I knew I wanted to do this while Im young and get it off my bucket list and learn some valuable discipline/ life experience. The other reason it rocks is because after I did this, apparently my dad, who always wanted to go into the military but never ended up going down that path, is super proud of me getting an officer commission, and now that he knows Im disappearing off he wants to help me finish the car and front a bunch of the money to get er dun. And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon...
So I thought I would share some of the good news with my fellow Fiero Fans out there. I swear in on Aug 7th then I ship out Aug 18 to St. Jean for 15 weeks of basic followed by Crew command training in Gagetown NB for 8 months. So, I won't be around for a while. But when I return, I plan to do so with a working Fiero
Till then, my fellow Friendlings, Live long and prosper
