hey Dan
was out at Gary's Thurs and he showed me that neat turbo sunbird instrument cluster you picked up. (turbo).  If you ever happen to stumble across another one, could you either pick it up for me or at least let me know about it?  I am also going to need the 2 Bar MAP sensor that they have.  Right now I wouldn't even know what it looks like......  yet.  If there is a chance that those 2 cars still have them I would be interested in them as well.  Might as well get both; they are used parts.....

Thanks!! Grin

will be down in that area early next week. Will check on it and see if they have anymore guage packages. Any idea where the sensor is mounted as both cars still have engines in them. Dan

hi Dan
sorry to take so long but I was trying to figure out where they would be; I am guessing that it would be attached to or very near to the throttle body?
I expect you know what the throttle position sensor would be so this would be the 'other' sensor. Not much help but I am still very much learning the specifics. Huh Huh Huh
I am poring thru my factory manual but it isn't much help with the sunbird issue. I will see if I can find it somewhere and get back to you
thanks for the help!!!

Was at that wreckers today and got the map sensors from both turbo cars. They look just like a normal map sensor to me but I got them anyways. Can bring them up with me the next time I come up to Ottawa. As for the guage package Gary has one and I have the other and there isn't ant more right now but I will keep an eye out for one for you. It was mounted up high on the intake right near the throttle body and as the wreckers did not charge me then I guess they are free. Dan

By the way you described it I expected it to be different from any other gm map sensor but it looks the same to me, a vacumn line with a three wire plug so no I did not get the wiring connector with it. I don't think you need it but if it turns out you do then next time I'm there I will get it. Dan

Evidently we need a 2 bar sensor to run the boost gauge.  The plugs seem to be different on 1 bar vs 2 bar.
