The last time I was there (two or three months ago), Ashton Auto Recycling had two 2M4's.

One is a high mileage '86 which has been picked over rather well--all body panels are gone as well as a variety of other parts, but the engine was more or less intact from what I remember.  No wait...  the air cleaner, valve cover, and throttle body were missing.

The other is an '84, can't remember the mileage.  Partially disassembled, but as far as I know all of the essential pieces are there except for the ECU.  According to Brian Fumerton (owner), this one is a restoration project which was started and later abandoned.

So if you don't mind the drive, you might be able to pluck the TPS from there.  Better yet, buy the whole car off him and restore it before it goes to the crusher! Cheesy

Haha! That reminds me of my last visit to Ashton Auto.  The mechanic told me I could go look around so I wandered for a while.  I found an 84 with the 3:32 econo tranny in it.  When I got back to the garage I asked how much they wanted for it.

The mechanic told me the only way they could set a price was to call the dealer and get the retail price first. I pointed out that this was a wrecked 16 year old car and the dealer price was not available anyway as they don't have any trannies.  'They don't have any' may have been the wrong thing to say.

After some country jawin' I still never got even an 'about' price.  At this point the owner (I'll assume this was Brian) came into the garage, knocked me out of the way and started screaming at the mechanic.  I mean have a stroke, red faced, high  decibel, spit in your face screaming.

Ignoring me, it seems that an elderly lady had left her car in to be looked at.  The machanic checked her complaints, found a wire disconnected and cleaned her wiper blades (solved both problems).  The owner demanded that he bring the car back, put new plugs and wires in it and change the blades.

At this point I slunk away.    I don't think I've ever seen anything more crooked or pathetic before in a workplace.  Why the mech didn't kill him on the spot is a mystery, I certainly would have dented his skull with a big tool if he was treating me like that.

The end result is that I wouldn't piss on the guy if he was on fire.
