Need to buy or borrow (A and C needs a core) a flywheel for re-facing as I am putting in a new clutch in my 85 SE. Don't know if a 5 sp flywheel is the same or not. Calll me at 998-3945 and leave a message or respond to the post.

I have one but it is away at the machine shop at the moment. They are just using it as a guide for my 3800 flywheel. It is kind of krappy (heat marked and such) but would be good for a core and can likely be resurfaced.
I also have a new clutch kit ($150.00) if you are interested. Gary

Basically the flywheel and clutch have to match the engine and the throw out bearing has to match the tranny. So a 2.8 with a 4 speed uses the same flywheel as a 2.8 with a 5 speed.

I called the shop yesterday and found out they'd been sitting on it for 2 weeks. Guy says, "Gee, are you in a hurry? I guess I can get it done this week."
So I suppose I won't get it till the end of the week. Sorry if this is too long.

Its been down all winter so another week isn't going to matter. I heard somewhere on the net that a person can change the clutch by removing the rear cradle bolts and piciting it down to get at the bolts to the trany. Has anyone tried it or should I just bite the bullet and separate the back end.
