I am reading all sorts of things about sway bars; thicker in the front, thicker in the rear, soft settings, hard settings, remove the rear and pump up the springs, even........ everything!
I am asking WHO has actually experimented with various sway bar settings; both front and rear, even if you simply have installed both and have comments on what you have found post-installation.
PLEASE direct experiences only if you don't mind; I am hoping they will help push (my) opinion one way or the other (finally)..... Roll Eyes
I have read LOTS on the topic and want to hear it from a few people directly.
TIA!!!! Cool

Just get an even fron and rear. The bigger the "better" the handling yet the driver needs to be more experienced. Instead of body roll, you slide.

thx, Eric;
is that what you have now?  Did you have a different combo before, or maybe none in the rear?  Did you ever have unequal bars?  Just wondering what your baseline was and what you changed to.
thx!

thx, Steve; I will check it out. There are lots of 'armchair experts' on lots of different sites, but I want to ask specific questions about what the car does in particular situations and that would help me envision what is happening front-to-rear with the body roll and weight transfer situation. That is why I am trying to reach people who have both and hopefully have made a change to one/both of them as well.

Haven't got a chance to push the limits as I have just put on a front sway bar on the rear. Would be interesting to test ride in another fiero with a larger front bar.

No setup is the same and it varies by driver preffernece. What seems undrivable to one person, is a sweet handler to another.

Best bet, go get a bung of bars and swapp them out on a solo day at the track. no better way to test.

Cheers!

hi GOFAST;
what size did you put on the front now? Did you get some guidelines for presetting both front and rear? or are you going to go from nuthin' here (which I am guessing is a typical starting point...)
I will be interested in whatever you find and observe; keep me posted!
Thx
